MO 5th Dist. Race Not as Close as Reported – KCUR incorrectly reported that Congressman Emanuel Cleaver beat Republican Challenger Jacob Turk by only 49% to 48%. In fact, the final tally was Cleaver 53% (101,076 votes), Turk 44% (84,415 votes). KCUR's story quoted faulty information posted on two separate election websites late on election night.

Kansas City, MO – Monday KCUR incorrectly reported that a new diabetes clinic at Truman Medical Centers came from a $20 million dollar Health Care Foundation grant. The Diabetes Center construction and new equipment purchases totaled just under $1 million dollars. The renovation of the center and relocation of diabetes services came out of a funding allocation from Missouri's Medicaid Program.

Kansas City, Mo. – KCUR reported Cerner Corporation would receive $19 Billion in federal economic stimulus money as defined by U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill. Cerner protests that the money is actually part of a pool from which states can draw and is not guaranteed to Cerner.
