Patricia Deal Cahill

After receiving her Master’s Degree from the University of Kansas, Patty Cahill worked as a reporter/producer at KCUR Radio.  She then worked at Wichita State University’s public radio station, KMUW, as News Director, Program Director and General Manager. She returned to KCUR Radio as General Manager in 1987 and held that position until her retirement in 2012. She served on the Board of Directors of National Public Radio and as President of Public Radio in Mid America. In 2009 she was nominated by President Obama and confirmed by the Senate to serve on the Board of Directors of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
