Brownback Names Heads of KDHE, SRS
By Stephen Koranda, KPR
Topkea, KS – Governor-elect Sam Brownback today named his choices to head two health and human services agencies.
Dr. Robert Moser will head the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. Moser currently works at the University of Kansas School of Medicine's Wichita branch. Before that he worked with Greeley County Health Services.
Moser says one of his priorities will be focusing on preventative medicine.
"I know how physicians feel, that they're doing the best they can," says Moser. "We can always improve on that, and I think that's going to be part of where we cut some of the long term costs down the road."
Brownback also named Rob Siedlecki to head the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. Siedlekci currently works in the Florida Department of Health.
Both appointments will need to be confirmed by the Kansas Senate.
