Clothing Found In Overland Park Creek Points To Missing Man

Searchers today found disturbing evidence along Indian Creek in Overland Park, Kansas as they spent a third day looking for a missing man.

Clothing was retrieved near 105th and Conser, near where Jeffrey Bridge was believed to have gone to look at floodwaters Sunday evening.

Along the search path, Overland Park Police Captain Tim Lynch was pointing to a map, briefing searchers, appearing in and heard on videotape taken by Jason Rhodes of the city fire department.

Lynch was describing sweatpants Bridge’s family told police might belong to him, found snagged in a tree   about three feet above the current water level.

The site where the torn pants were found is near the area Bridge was thought to have gone to view the flooding creek.

Today’s search included the Overland Park Police Dive Team and firefighters trained in water recovery.

By late in the day, police were saying they fear Bridge is no longer alive and tactics have changed from rescue to recovery.

The family continues to hold to hope the 36-year-old Bridge is alive.

Bridge was described by police as white, 190 pounds, 5-feet-11 inches, blue eyes and black hair.
