Former Secretary of State Campaigns in KC for Obama
By Dan Verbeck
Kansas City, MO – On Thursday, Clinton-era Secretary of State Madeline Albright told a Kansas City audience the nation needs to shore-up relations with world powers that include India, Pakistan and Russia.
Campaigning for the Presidential bid of Senator Barack Obama, Albright says Senator John McCain is wrong to discount talking with world leaders who don't toe the American-mark. Albright says, "This is a real opportunity to put American on the track where it belongs as a nation that is good, that understands what is going on in other countries and that protects American national interests because other countries want to work with us, not against us."
Asked if she was interested in again being secretary of state, should Senator Obama win, Albright cites history. Only two state-secretaries have done that.
