How Uncertainty Builds Faith In 'A Gray World'

During troubled times some turn to prayer, but when left with no answers they may question their beliefs. Religion writer Bill Tammeus says that doubt is natural, and can play a big part in strengthening one's faith.

Bill Tammeus will discuss his new book, 'The Value of Doubt: Why Unanswered Questions, Not Unquestioned Answers, Build Faith,' at the Kansas City Public Library's Plaza Branch at 6:30 p.m. on September 27, 2016. For more information and to RSVP, visit KCLibrary.org.

When I host Up To Date each morning at 9, my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers. Reach me at steve@kcur.org or on Twitter @stevekraske.
