On Thursday's Up to Date, guest host Brian Ellison covers primary ballot issues on both sides of the state line. In Kansas, KCUR has kept an eye on Milton Wolfand Sen. Pat Roberts as they battle to be the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate.  Plus, voters in the Sunflower State have a number of candidates to choose from for Insurance Commissioner.

On the Missouri side, Kansas Citians must decide on street car expansion. And  thewhole state, must decide on three new amendments. Amendment 7 proposes a state-wide sales tax to improve transportation infrastructure. In order to fund The Veteran's Commission, Amendment 8 wants to create a lottery ticket. Finally, to protect Missouri's electronic communication, Amendment 9 looks to widen the scope against unlawful search.
