Seg. 1: Amendment 1 Seeks "Clean Missouri" In November. Seg. 2: Young Couples' Money Challenges.

On Missouri ballots Nov. 6, Amendment 1 would require more transparency on lobbying efforts and establish an official demographer to draw legislative districts.

Segment 1: Ballot measure looks to restrict lobbyists and make legislative districting non-partisan.

The Clean Missouri initiative on the November ballot is so controversial opponents sought to have it removed from the ballot. Today, reporter Jason Rosenbaum and political science professor Debra Leiter explained the multiple goals within the proposed amendment, and the long-term effects it could have on state politics if it passes.

Segment 2, beginning at 25:10: The financial decisions made by young couples and families can reverberate through a lifetime.

For young couples just starting out, financial decisions abound. Are there student loans left to pay off? Should they rent a place or buy? How can they save money? Add children to the mix, and it can seem overwhelming. The Smart Money Experts offered some strategies to help those beginning life together make sound choices.
