A Los Angeles scooter-rental company called Bird has brought a new transportation service to Kansas City. Its sleek, black electric scooters go for 15 cents a minute, travel at up to 15 miles an hour, and you just leave them on the sidewalk for the next rider when you're done. They've debuted already in more than 20 citites nationwide, but not without some controversy. Today we discussed the pros and cons of sharing our streets with electric scooters.

We learned about the group's legislative priorities, and explored their approach to a saber-rattling chief executive.
