What's Showing In Independent, Foreign & Documentary Film

The name Hitchcock conjures up images of a screaming Janet Leigh and flocks of truly angry birds, but a new film looks at the love story between the director and his wife.

On Friday's Up to Date, indie, foreign and documentary film critics Cynthia Haines, Steve Walker and Bob Butler will pull back the curtain on their favorites for this week and this year.

So, pull up a chair, and watch a French man commit a terrible crime that clarifies his world and an Israeli man uncovers his own family’s dark secrets from the war.

When I host Up To Date each morning at 9, my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers.
