The advertising industry is in flux. This business faces just as many uncertainties as any other sector of the economy with changing consumer attitudes and an increasingly fragmented media landscape.

1,100 other cities wanted it, but we got it: Google Fiber.  Since it was announced that ‘we got it’ about a year and a half ago, Kansas City has been eagerly waiting for details.

Jase Wilson, the CEO of Neighbor.ly, stops by to talk about the ways crowdfunding is transforming the way people can invest in the city.

Update 11:51 a.m.: Thursday kicked off a Google Fiber six-week rally during which residents of Kansas City, Kan. and central Kansas City, Mo., can demonstrate their desire to bring the service to their neighborhoods, or "fiberhoods," as Google has named them.

Google Fiber is scheduled to make a "special announcement" on Thursday, July 26, at 11 am CDT.
