The young jazz pianist Eldar Djangirov returns to Kansas City for a performance with his trio. By Laura Spencer

Kansas City, Missouri – The young jazz pianist ELDAR DJANGIROV returns to Kansas City. Born in Kyrgyzstan, he was discovered at the age of 9 at a festival in Siberia by a jazz enthusiast and patron who encouraged his family to move to the United States. DJANGIROV lived and studied in Kansas City for five years before moving with his family to San Diego last year. KCUR?s Laura Spencer spoke to DJANGIROV earlier this week.

The Eldar Djangirov Trio performs Saturday night at the Leawood Methodist Church.
