Kansas City, MO – Former Kansas City mayor and city councilman Emanuel Cleaver will represent Missouri's 5th district in the United States Congress next year. He defeated political newcomer Jeanne Patterson by 37,000 votes. When the results came in late last night, Cleaver was still smarting from the blows of the campaign. KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross reports.
