Kansas City, Missouri – Kansas City based H&R Block is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The company sprang from a small business services firm run by brothers Henry and Richard (H and R) Bloch to become an industry-defining, international corporation. But if it weren't for one terrific piece of advice, and a couple of lucky breaks, things would have turned out much differently. KCUR's Frank Morris spoke with Henry Bloch in his sunny office overlooking Mill Creek Park, and prepared this report.
