Kansas City, MO – On April 4th, Jackson County voters will head to the polls to consider two tax measures, a 3/8th cent sales tax and a use tax.

Stadium supporters say massive upgrades and a rolling roof will keep the Royals and Chiefs in town, create economic development, and help Kansas City maintain the cachet of being a big league city.

Opponents say the measures will do little to benefit the local economy and take the emphasis away from other priorities like a crumbling infrastructure.

KCUR's Maria Carter reports.
