New Law Invalidates Ban on Gay Foster Parents

Kansas City, MO – When Governor Matt Blunt approved a bill this week to enforce tougher penalties on sexual predators he also repealed a state law criminalizing gay sex. Since the Governor overturned the state law making homosexual acts against the law it's putting to rest a long legal battle over whether a lesbian couple in Kansas City can become foster parents. And, it's causing a rift between the state administration and Attorney General's Office. KCUR's Kelley Weiss reports.
