StoryCorps in KC: Bob Klamm and Baron Stringfellow

By edited by Laura Spencer

Kansas City, MO – At StoryCorps recording booths across the country, friends and loved ones interview each other about their lives. Each Wednesday during Morning Edition, KCUR will bring you a story from the MobileBooth in Kansas City. Baron Stringfellow brought his mentor and hero, 76-year-old Bob Klamm who runs a magic shop in Independence. Here, Klamm, who's legally blind, tells his friend about a difficult childhood and his love of magic.

Storycorps in Kansas City is sponsored by the William T. Kemper Foundation, Commerce Bank, Trustee.

KCUR serves the Kansas City region with breaking news and powerful storytelling.
