Overland Park, Kansas – Congressman Moore told jubilant supporters at the Ritz Charles Hotel in Overland Park on election night now that democrats control the House, he would be in a better position to get things done in Washington. As the second ranking member of the House Budget Committee, he said, he can devote his attention to bringing down the federal debt. Moore also said the wave of Kansas Republicans who defected to the democratic party reflects the more moderate impulses of the electorate.
