Kansas City, MO – The UMKC Theater Department is exhibiting a healthy commitment to new, original works with what it calls its Festival of N.O.W. As KCUR's Steve Walker reports, its latest offering is set in the Midwest and features the kind of young characters the festival hopes to draw.

Secret Lives of Losers (N.O.W.) by Megan Mostyn-Brown, directed by Meredith McDonough, H&R Block City Stage, Union Station.
