Kansas City, MO – This Tuesday, voters will head to the polls to choose Kansas City's next mayor. On the ballot you have city councilman Alvin Brooks and retired city auditor Mark Funkhouser. Brooks led in the primary by a few hundred votes, but at this point it can be any man's race. Back on KC Currents, writer and columnist from the Kansas City Call, Eric Wesson, editor of the Pitch, CJ Janovy and editor and publisher of KC Hispanic News Joe Arce speak to KCUR's Ty Chandler.

KCUR is here for Kansas City, because Kansas City is here for KCUR.

Your support makes KCUR's work possible — from reporting that keeps officials accountable, to storytelling that connects our community. You can make sure the future of local journalism is strong.
