Kansas City, MO – Former councilman and police officer Alvin Brooks' long career of public service ended last month, but that doesn't mean he has any plans to stop serving the public. One of the first things on his agenda: revive the Ad Hoc Group Against Crime. KCUR's Ty Chandler talked to Brooks in the studio this week about his reflections on the Mayor's race, and why retirement is out of the question.
