Summer Camp Provides a New Twist on Shakespeare

Kansas City, MO – Though the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival's production of Romeo and Juliet recently closed, the mission of the Festival continues throughout the summer, including Camp Shakespeare. The festival sponsored 9 camps this season, and as KCUR's Steve Walker discovered, the latest camp serves up a new twist to a tried and true format.

The last Camp Shakespeare of the 2007 season concludes Friday, July 27, with a condensed performance of Romeo and Juliet at 6 pm at the YWCA. 's Black Box Theater at 1017 N. 6th Street, Kansas City, Kansas.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
