Kansas City, MO – A man who led the way to integrate Kansas City's suburbs died last week at the age of 76. Donald Sewing moved with his own family to Fairway, Kansas in 1966, and proceeded to sell houses throughout the region to other African Americans. His son, Henry Sewing, told KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross how his father got started in real estate. Sewing's memorial service will be this morning (October 9, 2007) at Unity Church of Overland Park.
