Kansas City, MO – Partisans on both sides of the immigration issue descended on Westport Friday. The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, a group organized to try and combat illegal immigration, held its first regional conference at the Uptown Theater. Hundreds of people marched to the Uptown in protest.

Hear voices from this weekend's Minuteman Civil Defense Corps conference and the protest outside (including Minuteman founder Chris Simcox, former Parks Board member Frances Semler, and Reverend Nelson Fuzzy Thompson of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference).
