KANSAS CITY, MO – The attempt by some Kansas City residents to recall Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser looked for a boost over the President's Day weekend, during which volunteers gathered signatures at libraries.
Those pushing for the recall say, among other things, the mayor has lost the city millions of dollars in convention revenue and allege nepotism in his office. For his part, Mayor Funkhouser says the charges are untrue and he's really unconcerned. KCUR's Maria Carter has more.
