Wyandotte County Considers College Scholarship Program

KANSAS CITY, KS – Kansas City, Kansas has seen a decline in population since the 1970s. The developments in Western Wyandotte County have brought in droves of shoppers and NASCAR fans, but not an influx of families. But the county is now considering a new college scholarship program for most of its high school students that officials hope will increase graduation rates, and eventually attract young families to KCK. KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross talked to Unified Government Commissioner Pat Huggins Pettey about the program.
