By Sylvia Maria Gross

Kansas City, MO – The comedian Bill Cosby will be in Kansas City next weekend to speak at a conference for women in Kansas City Kansas called Among Sisters. The conference is organized by Call reporter Eric Wesson. Wesson and Cosby have been strategizing over the past few years on how to address issues in low-income African American communities. Last August, Cosby came into town for a men's meeting, called Among Brothers. When Eric Wesson and KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross spoke to Bill Cosby over the phone earlier this week, they were planning for the upcoming event.
