  • According to the FBI, authorities have recovered the remains of two U.S. contractors who were kidnapped in Iraq a year and a half ago.
  • The Kansas House gave preliminary approval today to a health reform bill that would subsidize the cost of insurance premiums for certain low-income families.
  • The Missouri Department of Transportation is advocating $10.6 million in state spending to build more sidings on the railroad tracks it leases from the Union Pacific Railroad for the Amtak route from Kansas City to St. Louis.
