Kansas City, MO –

  • Finally, a bill restoring property tax deductions to Kansans who work in Missouri is on its way to Governor Blunt's desk - two weeks after the tax filing deadline.
  • Jim Slattery, former Kansas Democratic Congressman is a candidate for the Senate Seat now held by Republican Pat Roberts. Roberts' campaign was quick to characterize Slattery as a lobbyist and failed gubernatorial candidate.
  • As the Missouri legislature considers dropping a mandate on ethanol in conventional gasoline, a House Committee listened to testimony on a bill that would mandate the use of bio-diesel fuel, or B5, by June of 2010.

  • Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
