Kansas City, MO –

  • A federal investigation is reportedly examining whether a Kansas City-based dairy cooperative tried to inflate prices. Dairy Farmers of America controls about a third of the nation's milk supply.
  • Governor Kathleen Sebelius has vetoed a voter photo-ID bill that passed the Kansas legislature. She also vetoed a bill that would end the governor's power to fill vacancies in Congress and signed a measure that increases school funding.
  • The Leawood city council will be talking about coyotes again tonight. The wild canines have attacked at least nine dogs in the Leawood area. Seven of the attacks were fatal.

  • KCUR prides ourselves on bringing local journalism to the public without a paywall — ever.
