KANSAS CITY, MO – At a meeting last week of the Islamic Society of North America in Topeka, Overland Park resident Zulfiqar Malik was awarded the community service award for a monthly digest that he sends out about Muslim news from around the world, and Kansas City. He came by KCUR this week, and talked about how he first connected with other Muslims in the area, when he moved here almost 40 years ago and founded the Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City.
