Sugar Creek's Slavic Festival Awaits Giant Chicken

Kansas City, MO – There's one place in the US that's awaiting the arrival of a giant chicken. The chicken dance at the Slavic Festival in Sugar Creek wouldn't be the same without it. According to former Sugar Creek mayor Jack O'Renick, scary news reports circulating the internet about a giant chicken are all part of a viral marketing effort to bring a new generation to celebrate the town's Eastern European heritage. Sylvia Maria Gross met up with Jack O'Renick this week on the porch of his house.
