Kansas City, MO –

  • The Kansas City Star, St. Louis Post Dispatch and Associated Press are seeking to join a lawsuit to get copies of e-mails from Governor Matt Blunt's office. The lawsuit was filed by investigators representing the Attorney General Jay Nixon, and accuses Blunt or a deputy of ordering the destruction of backup e-mail tapes to avoid an AP open records request.
  • With scrap metal prices on the rise, the Missouri Conservation department will retrieve bullets fired at a rifle range. It's a new shooting range for hunters to open in the Fall of 2009 adjacent to the old Lake City Range.

  • KCUR prides ourselves on bringing local journalism to the public without a paywall — ever.

Our reporting will always be free for you to read. But it's not free to produce.
