Once On This Island

A musical currently at the Coterie Theatre tackles themes of race, class, love and death. It's a children's fairy tale rooted in the history of the Caribbean, but goes beyond time and place. By Sylvia Maria Gross

Kansas City, MO – Once on this Island debuted on Broadway almost 20 years ago - this production was adapted by the Coterie Theatre and director Nedra Dixon for Theatre for Young Audiences. KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross stopped by the theatre to talk to Dixon and actress Angela Wildflower Polk, and caught a bit of a run-through.
