Kansas City, MO –

  • The Kansas City council discussed its light rail proposal today. The 12-mile starter route met opposition from three council members who said it does not adequately serve the east side.
  • Senator John McCain campaigned in a "town hall" format at Union Station this morning, stating positions on the war, gas prices, taxes and offshore oil drilling.

  • Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
