Kansas City, Mo – The Democrats meeting in Denver will highlight a prominent Kansan, Kathleen Sebelius, and a Missouri Senator Clair McCaskill also will be spotlighted. But as the pre-convention activities started yesterday, less well known people from the Kansas City region were heard.

Dog racing in Kansas has come to an end -- at least for now. The Woodlands held its final night of dog racing Saturday before closing.
