The Kansas City city council has passed a volunteers policy ordinance that bans the mayor's wife from City Hall. The only "no" vote was from Mayor Funkhouser.

A Jackson County judge has overruled a motion by Gloria Squitiro, Mark Funkhouser's wife, to dismiss a lawsuit over discriminatory remarks Squitiro allegedly made to a staff volunteer.

Missouri Attorney General candidates Michael Gibbons and Chris Koster debated today on the MU-Columbia campus. Their area of strongest disagreement was on how Supreme Court judges should be selected.

Missouri Candidates for governor Jay Nixon and Kenny Hulshof also held their first debate, which remained cordial and issue-focused.

Defunded, but not defeated.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
