Former Kansas City, MO employee Ruth Bates has more than doubled her settlement request in a discrimination suit against the city after Mayor Funkhouser made public negative remarks about her in "telling his side of the story."

Former Funkhouser aide Joe Miller has testified that the mayor twice gave him instructions that resulted in ethics violations.

Governor Matt Blunt calls a Sunshine Law suit against him "a wild goose chase and a waste of money."
