Kansas City, MO – The number of foreclosures in the Kansas City area continues to mount, according to data from the Federal Reserve Bank. Officials are predicting that the problem will get worse before it gets better.

Kansas is slated to receive hundreds of millions of dollars in federal economic stimulus money and some of that money will help pad the state's bottom line.

A proposed equal rights amendment to the Kansas Constitution got a hearing before a legislative committee.

The Missouri Senate has approved a bill to create child support courts.
