Kansas City, MO – A new revenue forecast for Kansas is due to be released later today. Many officials expect the report to call for more shortfalls. That could force lawmakers to cut even more spending from the budget they approved earlier this month.

The Kansas Board of Regents will be keeping an eye on the higher education budget.

An ordinance requiring council approval for departments to spend money for items not in their budgets raised hackles over an old city council feud yesterday.
