Kansas City, MO – Missouri will have more than 500 new bridges by the end of 2013 under a $490 million project that has been awarded by the state transportation commission.

About $250 million in federal economic stimulus money will help Missouri speed up the payment of hundreds of thousands of individual income tax refunds.

The Kansas City city council received the first report on a proposed new 1,000-room downtown hotel with cautious enthusiasm yesterday.
