Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City City council votes today on the next step toward having a regional jail, operated by the county, open by late summer.

The Kansas Lottery Commission will meet later this month to review proposals for Wyandotte County and south-central Kansas.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has been asked to appoint an independent board to investigate the case of condemned prisoner Reginald Clemons.

The amount of revenue the state of Missouri collects each month continues to drop.

The Kansas City Royals could only muster two hits last night as they lost to the Tampa Bay Rays 9-0.
