Kansas City, MO – Environmental officials have announced that sludge from a St. Joseph Tannery - alleged in recent lawsuits to be linked to several brain tumors in area residents - does not, in fact, pose any public health hazard.

A state audit has found Kansas high schools keep less money from their ticket sales at athletic events than most schools in neighboring states.

People from around the U.S. and Canada who own rental houses and apartments met in Kansas City this week, trying to learn how to make properties less prone to crime.

A federal official is telling Kansas to start over in considering a proposal for a new coal-fired power plant.

Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
