Kansas City, MO – Danny Gibson's artwork combines savvy, streamlined design with an intricate handmade look. Gibson relishes in the rough edges and imperfections of the materials he uses, but the final products he churns out always look deliberate and sleek.
Currently an office assistant by day, Gibson's still using art materials he collected while working a previous job as a janitor.
Today in KCUR's new series, "Don't Quit Your Day Job," KCUR's Gina Kaufmann talks to Danny Gibson about his day job and how it impacts his art.
This story first aired in July, 2009. Danny Gibson has a solo show opening on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 6pm at the Brick, DJG Ate Eight.
