Kansas City, MO – Kansas City Headquartered Smith Electric Vehicles is in line to receive a ten million dollar grant from the Department of Energy.

As Kansas City learns to get by with fewer city services, still more cuts may be coming. Budget director Troy Schulte says a 12 percent drop in sales tax collections could cut more deeply into the transit authority's budget.

The only homeless shelter in Lawrence has announced plans to move from downtown to a larger site in far east Lawrence.

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is seeking 200 million dollars in federal funding for several railroad projects.
