Kansas City, MO – A BNSF Railway proposal to build a freight center near Gardener is raising concerns about air pollution.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon's office wants to end an arrangement that has given hundreds of millions of dollars of extra Medicaid payments to hospitals.

The tour of Missouri will kick off in downtown St. Louis this afternoon. Many of the world's top cyclists including 7 teams who competed in the Tour de France are participating in the week-long event.

Almost 100 young children in Kansas died in 2007 from causes like accidents and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or SIDS. September is Baby Safety Month and the group Safe Kids Kansas is working to bring the number of deaths down in the state.

A group of Kansas National Guard soldiers will head to Virginia for a national competition.
