Kansas City, MO – Youth pastor and missionary Drew Culberth is back in Topeka after being released from a three-week stay in a Haitian jail.

Hundreds of people turned out last night to voice their opposition to the Kansas City Missouri school district's proposal to close about 30 schools.

A recent survey finds that state pension funds have promised retirees a trillion dollars more than they have on hand to pay. The pension fund in Kansas is among the most troubled.

Kansas Democratic Governor Mark Parkinson tgave few details on who he might choose to replace Republican Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh, who resigned this week to take a job in the private sector.
