Kansas City, MO – The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art's Director/CEO Marc Wilson retires in June after 28 years in the post. Wilson's one of the longest serving museum directors, and only the fourth director of the museum since it opened in 1933.

During his tenure, he oversaw a $385 million capital campaign, which included the Bloch Building addition. But Wilson's relationship to the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and his influence go back to the late 1960s, as KCUR's Laura Spencer reports.
