Kansas City, MO – Kansas Gov. Mark Parkinson says he'll sign a bill raising the state sales tax by the end of the month.

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon was in Kansas City promoting tax credits for Ford's Claycomo plant.

Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster has sued a St. Joseph company over polluted stormwater that he says is damaging a creek in the city.

A final vote by the Missouri House has authorized a referendum for August over the state's participation in the new federal health care law.

The Missouri Senate has formally said "no" to the ethics legislation passed last week by the House, setting up a final round of negotiations over the wide-ranging bill.
