Kansas City, MO – The country's largest tax preparer is getting smaller. H&R Block is closing 400 offices and cutting an undisclosed number of jobs.

The Kansas City, Missouri police department wants to give up on a state-based system for managing court cases and contract with a St. Louis agency.

The new federal health law includes changes to insurance rules and that could affect as many as a quarter of Missourians.

The Kansas Board of Regents is asking Gov. Mark Parkinson to line-item veto a budget amendment that they say could cost higher education millions of dollars.
